Ostaš table mountain

Ostaš table mountain (700 m above sea-level) dominates the landscape around Police nad Metují and has inspired many legends. These legends have given names to many of the rock formations found here, such as Zbrojnoš (Armed man), Zrádce (Traitor), Mohyla smrti (Mound of Death) and more. Two routes can be taken around Ostaš – the Upper (Horní labyrint) and Lower labyrinth (Dolní labyrinth) /accessible all year round, no charge/. Numerous rock-climbing locations.
