Náchod is the largest town of the Kladské pomezí (approx. 20,000
inhabitants), offering plentiful sporting and cultural opportunities. In
the summer season, the town comes alive with cultural festivals
starting with Náchodská Prima Sezóna (Náchod Dandy Season). The
dominating feature of the town is a chateau, and plenty of interesting
historical buildings can be found in the town centre. Thanks to its
location close to the border, Náchod is a convenient starting point for
trips to the Polish border area.
